This is the ultimate green smoothie! It has all the benefits of green smoothie loaded with super foods, and at the same time, it tastes so good and refreshing. It is so simple but so good!
Drinking a green smoothie is a great way to start the day and fill your body with whole foods that fuel you with more energy naturally.
And is there anything better on a hot day than sipping on a tasty cold, fruity drink? This is my favorite green smoothie and i love it – summer or winter.
This cleansing green smoothie is loaded with super foods like spinach, apple, celery, banana, coconut water, lime juice, mint, parsley, ginger, and turmeric.
Just take a look at some of their benefits:
Spinach: Great source of amino acids (protein), calcium, beta-carotene (vitamin A), vitamin K, iron, manganese, magnesium, zinc, folate, and selenium. Great for strengthening the body, creating beautiful skin, boosting the immune system, and providing important antioxidants. Also, full of fiber which is great for cleansing the colon!
Coconut water: Is high in potassium, very hydrating. It aids in weight loss because it’s rich in nutrients and minerals like calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, and zinc. It suppresses your appetite and makes you feel full because of its rich nature. Because of its high concentration of fiber, it aids in the prevention of indigestion and reduces the occurrence of acid reflux. Boosts energy.
Apple: They boost your immune system, and eating an apple a day is a great way for detoxifying and cleansing your liver. Apples are high in fiber and aid your digestive system.
Banana: Contains magnesium and vitamin B6 which helps promote better sleep. Bananas also have fiber, vitamin C, potassium, and vitamin A. They promote good digestion, prevent constipation, contribute to cholesterol levels and healthy blood pressure.
Celery: Full of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Very alkaline. Good source of B1, B2, B6, and C vitamins, folate, iron, and amino acids. Mint: Great source of vitamin C and vitamin A (beta-carotene), iron, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Mint aids in digestion, lowers blood pressure and is helpful in relieving congestion of the respiratory tract.
Parsley: A powerful detoxifier, parsley removes toxins from the body, acts as a diuretic by flushing out the kidneys, and purifies the blood. It contains antioxidants, vitamin A, C, and E, folate, and iron.
Ginger: Helps improve nutrient absorption in the body, maintain proper blood circulation, is anti-inflammatory, strengthens the immune system, and fights common respiratory problems.
Turmeric: Very high in antioxidants, and is a great anti-cancer agent. It is also anti-inflammatory and works as a blood cleanser. This results in clearer, brighter skin.

What you need
1 1/2 cups spinach
1 cup coconut water
1 apple, cored and quartered
1 banana, peeled and sliced
1/3 cup chopped celery
juice of 1 lime
1 Tbsp fresh mint
1 Tbsp parsley
1/4 inch slice ginger root, peeled
pinch of turmeric
Place spinach and coconut water in the blender and blend until liquified.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender and blend until completely smooth.
