These candied sweet potatoes are about to become your new favorite fall and Thanksgiving side. Simple to make, they are coated with a maple butter sauce for a wonderful sweet and salty dish that will be the star of your feast!
Sweet Potatoes Butter | Maple Syrup Brown Sugar | Cinnamon Nutmeg | Salt | Rosemary Pure Vanilla Extract
Place sweet potato slices in a casserole dish and sprinkle with salt. Heat butter, maple syrup, water, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, stirring until butter has melted. Allow to simmer, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour maple butter sauce over the sweet potatoes and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with dried rosemary and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
A great addition to any Thanksgiving or holiday dinner!
