Brown sausage until cooked through. Then remove and set aside. Heat olive oil over medium high heat, add onions, carrots, and celery and sauté until onions become translucent.
Add chicken broth, lentils, and potatoes, and bring to a boil. Cook for 20 more minutes at a reduced heat, then add tomato, garlic, oregano, salt and black pepper and cook for another 10 minutes. Stir in the browned sausage.
