Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and break up with a wooden spoon. Add chopped onion. Cook the beef until it is no longer pink. Drain excess grease and return to the pan and reduce the heat to low.
Add tomato sauce and taco seasoning. Stir together until the meat is coated in sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the taco meat to the shells and add toppings. Serve with your favorite salad and sides.
