Cook up a batch of rice quickly and easily with your Instant Pot. With minimal prep and a cook time of only 3 minutes, this is a speedy way of serving up a simple side to accompany your favorite meals.
Add rinsed rice, salt and water to the Instant Pot. Lock the lid and turn the valve to ‘sealing’. Pressure cook rice on High Pressure for 3 minutes. Let pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
Release remaining pressure, and carefully, open the lid. Fluff rice with a fork.
NOTES
Rinse your rice well under cold running water before adding to the Instant Pot. This will help to remove the starch so that your rice doesn't get clumpy.
If making ahead of time, let the rice cool completely before storing and only reheat it once.
The ration of water to rice is 1:1 and the recipe is easily doubled.
