Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
This classic and elegant appetizer is so quick and easy to make and is an excellent addition to any holiday platter. Full of texture and flavor, it's a must have for any party.

INGREDIENTS

thin bacon slices

asparagus

woody ends trimmed and washed
Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a rack on it.
Season asparagus with salt and pepper. Wrap 3-4 asparagus stalks with a piece of bacon in a bundle. Repeat with remaining asparagus.
Place asparagus bundles on the rack in the baking sheet, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 - 17 minutes, until bacon is crisp.
NOTES
This recipe is delicious as it is, but if you like, you can drizzle over some maple syrup or brown sugar before baking for a sweet and salty bite.
Use thin bacon for this recipe otherwise, the bacon will not be cooked through and crispy when the asparagus is ready.
Ensure that your asparagus is fresh. It should be firm to the touch with smooth skin.
Bake in a fully preheated oven so that the asparagus cooks through evenly.
