3
Tablespoon
maple syrup or sweetener of choice
Instructions
Place a tea bag in each cup and pour ¾ cup hot water to each cup. Let steep for 5 minutes and then remove tea bags.
In a medium pot over medium heat, bring milk to a simmer. Turn off heat and reserve ½ cup of milk.
Pour ½ cup warm milk to each cup, adjusting amounts according to preference. Sweeten with maple syrup or sweetener of choice, and stir chai latte.
Pour reserved milk in a tall glass, tilt glass and froth with milk frother moving it up and down.
Top off each mug with milk foam and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and cardamom.
Notes
This recipe makes enough for two chai lattes. It is easily halved and doubled.
The drinks should be enjoyed as soon as they are made.
