These delicious marinated grilled shrimp are a great quick and easy recipe perfect to serve as an appetizer or part of a main meal. It takes less than 10 minutes to prep these skewers and around 5 minutes to cook them!

Ingredients

olive oil

lemon juice

teaspoon
minced garlic

teaspoon
smoked paprika
1
teaspoon
cumin
1
teaspoon
onion powder
1
teaspoon
salt
½
teaspoon
black pepper
a pinch of red pepper flakes

peeled cleaned shrimp
Instructions
Soak bamboo skewers in water for 30 mins before using.
Mix together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and spices in a mixing bowl.
Add the shrimp to the bowl and mix until coated. Let the shrimp sit for 30 minutes.
After the shrimp has marinated, thread shrimp on pre-soaked skewers.
Preheat the grill (or charcoal grill) to medium heat, oil the grates and grill the shrimps for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque.
Transfer skewers to a plate and serve.

before adding the shrimp.
If you are using
wooden skewers
, be sure to
pre-soak them
before threading the shrimp.
Peel and devein the shrimp before marinating
so it can soak up all the flavors.
Be careful
not to overcook the shrimp
, they only need 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Otherwise, it will turn rubbery and chewy.
Only flip the shrimp once
. When they are ready to flip, they will release from the grill.
You can also grill the shrimp in your favorite grill pan on the cooktop if the weather isn't nice or you don't want to fire the outdoor grill.
