Looking for a quick and flavorful dinner? Try this easy ground beef and broccoli stir fry recipe. It combines savory beef with fresh broccoli, making it perfect for busy weeknights.
In a medium bowl, combine all the stir fry sauce ingredients. Stir until everything is fully dissolved. Set the sauce aside for later use.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets, partially cover the skillet with a lid and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Stir or toss the broccoli several times until they turn bright green and become crisp-tender. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set it aside.Tip: If you prefer softer broccoli, add 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet before covering with the lid. This will steam the broccoli for a more tender texture.
Increase the heat to high and add 1 tablespoon of oil to the same skillet. Spread the ground beef and sauté for 2 minutes, breaking it up while it cooks, or until just cooked through.
Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet with the beef. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing it to thicken. Return the broccoli to the skillet and stir everything together until well combined.
Serve the Ground Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry over a bed of white rice. Enjoy!

Notes
Have your ingredients prepped and chopped before you start the cooktop. Stir frying is fast-paced and it’s important to have everything mise en place.
Don’t overcook the broccoli. The key to perfect broccoli is to cook it just enough so that it’s tender but still retains a bit of bite. Overcooked broccoli can become mushy and lose its bright green hue.
For perfectly browned beef, spread it out in an even layer and let it cook undisturbed for a couple of minutes before stirring. This allows a crust to form, which adds both texture and flavor.
Buy high quality ground beef, look for meat that’s bright red and freshly packed. Avoid packages with excess liquid or a brownish color, as these can be signs of aging meat. If possible, buy your ground beef from a trusted butcher who can grind it fresh for you.
