Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
This classic and elegant appetizer is so quick and easy to make and is an excellent addition to any holiday platter. Full of texture and flavor, it's a must have for any party.

thin bacon slices

asparagus
woody ends trimmed and washed
Salt and pepper

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a rack on it.
Season asparagus with salt and pepper. Wrap 3-4 asparagus stalks with a piece of bacon in a bundle. Repeat with remaining asparagus.
Place asparagus bundles on the rack in the baking sheet, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 - 17 minutes, until bacon is crisp.

Use thin bacon so it crisps up by the time the asparagus is tender.
Choose fresh asparagus—firm with smooth skin for best results.
Always bake in a fully preheated oven for even cooking.
Add a drizzle of maple syrup or brown sugar before baking for a sweet-salty twist.
