Today, I am going to share with you a comforting Italian Sausage and Peppers Pasta Skillet recipe that I love to make for me and my husband.
My Grandmother used to make a similar dish with a homemade tomato-based sauce. Even though it was a very simple meal, it was my favorite. It was very comforting and delicious. Every time I make this Italian Sausage and Peppers Pasta Skillet, I am reminded of my childhood days and it brings back a lot of beautiful memories. I hope to make this recipe for delicious creamy sausage and pasta a tradition for my family as well and to pass it on to my children and my children’s children.
This recipe is perfect to make year-round, as it’s an easy and flavorful skillet dinner that your whole family will enjoy. It is also great for the cold days outside – it’s hearty, warm and comforting. To make it, I used Ragu Pasta Sauce, which I appreciate for its farm-grown ingredients, commitment to high quality, affordability and great flavor. The RAGU Pasta sauces don’t use any artificial flavors, artificial colors or high fructose corn syrup.
I also love the special blend of spices (basil, fennel, oregano, and black pepper) they use which make the sauce so flavorful and bold.
This is a delicious skillet meal that you have to try. It will make you feel warm and cozy inside, and you will be asking for seconds.

Delicious and easy, what else does one need?
In your Italian sausage and peppers and pasta dish, you said the receipt calls for tomato sauce but I don’t see when you are supposed to add it. Can you clarify that,
Thanks, Diane
HI Diane, Thank you for letting me know about that. You add the pasta sauce when you add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Updated the recipe card.
This looks so colorful and full of flavor!
Thanks, Mary!
Hi,
This one didnโt work for me, since that ready-made pasta sauce is nor available in my country, Sweden. Pity.
Hi Kjell,
You can use any pasta sauce. I am sure it will turn out great! ๐
OK, I will, I should be able to find something similar.
