    Although these easy one pan dinners are made with chicken, don’t be afraid to switch things up. You can swap out the chicken for turkey, or use pork sausage rather than chicken sausage. You will love these sheet pan chicken recipes.

    Sheet Pan Recipes – Pork

    Pork is a protein that many people assume is unhealthy. The truth is, depending on the cut you use, pork recipes can be very healthy!
    For the healthiest meals, choose a lean cut of pork, such as the tenderloin.

    Beef Sheet Pan Meals

    Like pork, some cuts of beef are healthier than others. The marbling in beef gives the dish great flavor. But, fat comes along with the flavor. Leaner beef choices include tenderloin, sirloin, and eye of round roasts.

    Tips To Make Sheet Pan Dinners Better

    • Use heavy-gauge aluminum baking sheets that withstand the oven heat. I love these from Nordic Ware.
    • Don’t overcrowd the sheet pan if you want to cook a deliciously baked dinner. Otherwise, you will steam all the vegetables and meat. If it’s necessary, use 2 sheet pans. If your oven is large enough, you can place the sheet pans next to each other on the same rack.
    • Use parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent the food from sticking on the baking sheet. Clean up is easier as well. If you are planning to use the broiler, make sure you use an aluminum foil so the parchment paper doesn’t catch on fire.
    • Coordinate cook times. Not every item cooks at the same rate. It’s important to make sure that some ingredients are not over- or undercooked. You can choose to leave quicker cooking foods whole while ingredients with longer cook times can be cut in smaller pieces. You can also cook the food in stages by starting with the longer cooking foods and adding tender foods in the last 10 -15 minutes.
    • Choose foods that taste good when roasted and that taste good together. You can cook delicious meals with a lot of texture and flavor if you combine the right ingredients together. For example, green beans go wonderfully with fish or butternut squash with maple chicken thighs.
    • Season your ingredients separately (or together). You might not want all your vegetables and protein to be seasoned the same and to taste the same. To make the food more interesting and delicious, you can top the chicken with a maple glaze and crunchy crust, and season your vegetables with a simple spice blend and oil. Or sometimes, you might prefer to season everything on the baking sheet with the same seasoning.
    • Roast and turn into a sauce. Utilize the baking time and roast some ingredients that you can turn into a sauce – roasted garlic, mayo and some spices make a delicious sauce. You can also roast some tomatoes, garlic, habanero to make salsa.
    • Add some raw ingredients. To make your sheet pan dinner feel fresh and flavorful, you can also add some lime or lemon juice, no-cook sauce/dip, sliced nuts, sliced avocadoes, radishes or fresh herbs over the whole pan. You can also make a nutritious bowl, serve it with a side of rice, or make a satisfying salad.
