TIPS FROM NELI’S KITCHEN
Recipe Notes and Tips
- I recommend using frozen bananas with this recipe and personally, I like to use 2. The frozen bananas keep the smoothie colder longer and also seem to hold the toppings up a bit better.
- Add water last, only if needed. Depending on what kind of yogurt you use…sometimes I don’t even need it.
- Add more or less honey to adjust sweetness.
Make-Ahead Smoothie Bowl
Smoothie bowls are not only delicious but also perfect for prepping ahead of time for breakfast. If you are looking for quick and easy breakfast ideas, bookmark this cranberry smoothie bowl recipe. You can make the smoothie the night before and store it in the fridge until the morning. Eat it in a bowl, or pour it into a cup to take with you on the go.
You can also prep the ingredients and freeze them in a ziplock bag. Just dump them in the blender in the morning, and in a couple of minutes, you have a delicious breakfast ready to go.

Smoothies are my favorite breakfast! I’ve never made it with cranberry but this looks amazing!
Oh my gosh this sounds incredible..can’t wait to try! I’ll let you know how it turns out 🙂
Oooh I love how simple this recipe is!! I haven’t been able to find cranberries lately, but once I do you can bet I will be making this!
I love cranberries but struggle to get hold of them outside of the winter. If I can source them now I will definitely give this a try and follow your ziplock method and just freeze down a portion of ingredients and dump in my vitamix.
Well, here’s another recipe I’m adding to my collection (so I can use those hoarded cranberries in the freezer LOL). So delicious and so easy…thanks for sharing!
I love this smoothie bowl. I appreciate the tip about 2 frozen bananas.
This looks so colorful, delicious and healthy! Very refreshing!
