Garlic adds so much flavor to most meals – I love the creamy and buttery texture and the lightly caramelized and sweet flavor. It really takes a recipe to the next level. I love to add roasted garlic to soups and stews and use garlic butter on steaks. Simple roasted garlic is much easier to eat without the pungent and spicy flavor of raw garlic. Roasted garlic is a great way to add a savory boost and more depth to almost any meal.

How To Roast Garlic In The Oven

It is easy to roast garlic cloves in the oven. Remove the papery skin of the bulb and cut the top of the garlic bulb so the top of the cloves is exposed. Drizzle some olive oil and place them in an aluminum foil pouch. Place the foil pouch on a baking sheet and roast at 400 F for about 40-50 minutes, or until soft and golden.

Once cool, squeeze out the cloves of garlic and mash them to use in recipes, or store them in an air-tight container in the fridge for a week.
