Garlic adds so much flavor to most meals – I love the creamy buttery texture and the lightly caramelized and sweet flavor. It takes a recipe to the next level. I love to add roasted garlic to soups and stews and use garlic butter on steaks. Simple roasted garlic is much easier to eat without the pungent and spicy flavor of raw garlic. Roasted garlic is a great way to add a savory boost and more depth to almost any meal.
How To Roast Garlic In The Oven
It is easy to roast garlic cloves in the oven. Remove the papery skin of the bulb and cut the top of the garlic bulb so the top of the cloves is exposed. Drizzle some olive oil and place them in an aluminum foil pouch. Place the foil pouch on a baking sheet and roast at 400 F for about 40-50 minutes, or until soft and golden.
Once cool, squeeze out the cloves of garlic and mash them to use in recipes, or store them in an air-tight container in the fridge for a week.
Storage
You can keep roasted garlic in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week. You can either submerge the whole garlic cloves in olive oil and cover them, or store the mashed garlic in an air-tight container.

Favorite Ways To Use Roasted Garlic
There are a lot of recipes that use roasted garlic because it adds an incredible flavor and depth to the dish. You can also spread it out on a baguette and season it with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices. Roasted garlic is also great in stews, soups, , mashed potatoes, salad dressings, sauces, marinades, pasta, hummus, vegetable dips and even on sandwiches. Perfect for just about anything.
