Can you make it ahead of time?

If you are planning to serve this oven roasted broccoli as part of a bigger feast, you can make this dish ahead of time for ease. You can cut and season the broccoli the night before and keep it covered until you are ready to roast it.

You can also make the recipe the day before and reheat the broccoli in the oven at 450F for 5 minutes until heated through.

    Can you use frozen broccoli?

I much prefer to use fresh broccoli for this recipe, but you can make it with frozen broccoli. There’s no need to defrost frozen broccoli first. Just season it as per the recipe and roast in the oven. Just add a minute or two to the cooking time.

    TIPS FROM NELI’S KITCHEN

    Recipe Notes and Tips

    • Cut the florets into similar sizes so that they cook evenly.
    • Don’t overcrowd the florets on the baking sheet. If you do they will steam and get soggy rather than roast.
    • The broccoli should be fork tender when you remove it from the oven.
