Nothing quite gets people together like a stunning charcuterie board during the holidays. With your favorite spreads, cheeses, meats, crackers, and lots of other goodies, even if your Christmas is a little smaller this year, it’s a great way to treat your family.

No snack board is complete without the crackers, and to keep this snack board gluten-free, I used Crunchmaster® crackers, which are made with rice and quinoa. They are perfectly crunchy and taste great! A wonderful addition, especially if someone in your family has a gluten intolerance. And they have a variety of flavors that can complement any snack board idea you want to create. Check out this link for how you can save $1.00 on any ONE (1) Crunchmaster® Product.

    What You’ll Need

    • Spreads: Choose a variety of jams, jelly’s & mustards.
    • Cheese: Choose a variety of soft and hard cheeses – spicy, soft and hard, such as Brie, Havarti, Gouda, Mozzarella, Provolone and Blue Cheese.
    • Cured Meats: Use a variety of meats such as salami, prosciutto and pepperoni.
    • Crackers & breads: Use a variety of crackers, baguette and breadsticks – I used my favorite gluten-free Crunchmaster® crackers
    • Fruits: I like t use a mix of fresh and dried fruit such as grapes, berries, clementines, dates, dried apricots for bursts of flavor.
    • Nuts: Nuts add a great texture. Try almonds, roasted pistachios and candied pecans.
    • Mint leaves: For garnish. These are optional but I like the color and freshness they bring to the board.

How to Make a Charcuterie Board

Grab a large platter or a cutting board (ceramic platters, slate cheese boards, marble slabs work as well).

Place all jams, preserves, mustards, or dips into small bowls or shallow dishes and place on the board.

Arrange cheese selection and rolled up or sliced cured meats on the platter.

Scatter crackers and breads to fill up space, then add your fruit and nuts to complete the beautiful charcuterie board.

Add mint leaves as garnish and serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.

How Far Ahead Can You Make It?

Whether you are making your charcuterie board for entertaining or snacking, you can make it up days ahead of time. Just build the board, cover it with plastic wrap and keep it stored in the fridge. It will keep well for 4 to 5 days.

    Healthy Snack Board

Because I have used Crunchmaster® crackers, this charcuterie platter is gluten-free. You can reduce the amount of sugar by opting for low sugar spreads and jams and adding more nuts than fruits. Make it vegetarian by simply omitting the cured meats.

Snack boards are great for bringing people together, even those who already live together. This delicious and gluten-free snack board is perfect for this holiday season to enjoy with your family at home or to snack smarter while working from home. Crunchmaster® crackers are the perfect wholesome snack for the whole family.

How to Build a Charcuterie Board

Although it looks so fancy, a beautiful charcuterie board is easy to build, just follow these steps:

    • Pick a board: I like to use a marble or wooden board, you can use any shape you like. Slate works great.
    • Add dishes: Use small bowls for the spreads and place them on the board.
    • Cheeses: Place the cheeses, in wedges, sliced or cubed around the board.
    • Meats: Roll up or folded, place slices of meat around the board.
    • Crackers: Place stacks of crackers in the large spaces.
    • Produce: In any of the spaces left, place handfuls of fresh and dried fruits, and nuts. Add mint leaves randomly for color and freshness.
