Why you will love this recipe!
- Healthy: Salmon is loaded with heart-healthy protein, vitamin A and omega-3 fatty acids whilst being low in saturated fat and calories.
- Quick and easy: Super simple to prep with a short ingredient list, this is a great go-to recipe to have in your cooking arsenal!
- So delicious! The honey sriracha salmon glaze is the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, tangy, and savory. It’s one tasty weeknight dinner!
Ingredients for honey sriracha salmon
- Salmon fillets: I like to use fresh Atlantic salmon fillets for this recipe. It’s recommended to eat at least two portions of fish and seafood each week and this is one tasty way to enjoy it!
- Seasonings: Salt and pepper.
- Glaze: Honey, sriracha, minced garlic, white wine vinegar, and ground ginger.
- To serve: Optional, but I love to add sesame seeds and sliced green onions to the baked fish.
How to make honey sriracha salmon
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Mix honey sriracha sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides. Brush salmon with 2/3 of the honey sriracha glaze.
- Place salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake at 400 F for about 10-12 minutes.
- After the salmon is done, brush the salmon fillets with the other 1/3 of the honey sriracha glaze. You can sprinkle some sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top.
Can you make it ahead of time?
Yes, if you meal prep the honey sriracha sauce the night before, you can make this recipe even quicker! Mix the honey glaze ingredients in a small bowl, cover it and place it in the fridge. All you need to do is brush the salmon with the glaze and pop it in the oven when you are ready and cook it. You can’t beat that! Super easy and quick weeknight dinner.
Can you use frozen salmon?
I prefer to use fresh fillets for this honey sriracha salmon, but frozen is often more convenient. Be sure to thaw your salmon completely and pat dry with a paper towel before brushing it with the glaze
When salmon is frozen, it takes on a lot of extra water which can make it quite mushy when it is cooked, so before you bake it make sure you remove as much excess moisture as you can.
What do you serve honey glazed salmon with?
I love to serve this honey sriracha salmon with rice, salad, or roasted veggies for a super tasty and well-balanced meal. It works great with most vegetable side dishes, or even with a light salad. Try it with:
- Cucumber Salad
- Caesar Salad
- Tomato Cucumber Avocado Salad
- Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Onions
- Roasted Garlic Cauliflower
- Roasted Brussel Sprouts
- Cauliflower Rice
- Sweet Potato Slices

Recipe Notes and Tips for honey glazed salmon
- Make sure not to overcook the honey sriracha salmon. Use a fork to test it for doneness, it should flake easily. When salmon is over-baked it can become quite dry in texture.
- You can swap the honey for maple syrup if you prefer and white wine vinegar can be substituted for apple cider vinegar.
- When making the glaze, you can first add less sriracha sauce, taste it and add more if you desire.
- Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets.

I also love quick 30 minute meals! It’s great to make a tasty meal in a short amount of time. I’m also a sucker for honey sriracha and usually make that sauce to have with chicken wings. I’ll have to try your recipe next time I have salmon in the house. <3
Lovely marinade. I am sure it would work well with paneer or tofu…the veggie option.
Salmon is my hubby’s favourite.. I also have a bottle of Sriracha .. Will plan this meal for the next week end.
